Growth & Wellbeing Scan

If you're over halfway through your pregnancy or in your third trimester and want to know more about your baby's growth and wellbeing, our growth scan will tell you your baby's size and estimated weight, as well as the location of the placenta and umbilical blood flow.

During this scan the baby is measured to estimate fetal weight, amniotic fluid, fetal movement is assessed, and color doppler examination of blood flow to the placenta and fetus may be measured.

Important information about your appointment:
The appointment duration is usually 30 minutes in singleton pregnancies. 

Ultrasound images and the electronically signed report will be stored in a special memory stick which will be given to you with no extra charge.
